In affirmation of Najran University’s role in supporting scientific research and innovation, and in pursuit of integration among academic, research, and industrial institutions, the International Conference on Smart Technologies and Trusted Systems concluded with the following recommendations:
- Strengthen research cooperation between universities and research institutions locally and internationally and promote the exchange of expertise and knowledge in the fields of smart technologies and trusted systems.
- Encourage the transformation of research outputs into practical solutions that serve the community and support innovative initiatives connecting researchers, entrepreneurs, and the industrial sector.
- Establish specialized research centers and laboratories in areas such as artificial intelligence, big data, cybersecurity, and intelligent systems, to serve as sustainable platforms for scientific innovation.
- Support outstanding researchers and students through funding programs, research grants, and scientific competitions that motivate research productivity and publication in prestigious journals.
- Focus future research on national priorities aligned with Saudi Vision 2030, particularly in digital transformation, sustainability, energy, and smart education.
- Enhance the skills of young researchers through training courses and specialized workshops on research methodologies, academic publishing, and statistical analysis.
- Recommend holding the conference periodically to ensure continuous scientific communication among specialists and broaden participation to include researchers from diverse disciplines and countries.
- Promote open-access scientific publishing and activate digital repositories in universities and research institutions to increase global accessibility and knowledge exchange.
- Deepen integration between scientific research and industrial needs through joint initiatives focused on technology localization and the development of national competencies.
- Employ artificial intelligence and advanced analytics to support research-based decision-making and adopt initiatives that foster responsible and sustainable innovation.
